America votes and all TV stations around the world talk about it, which, in my opinion is completely exaggerated. I don't care who the next American puppet will be however I have the suspicion that the jackass Willard Mitt Romney has more interest in the wellbeing of his Wall-Street pimps and his Zionist whore-friends with no time to confuse his mind with things like liberty, democracy, justice. As I see it, Romney is mostly the equivalent of McCain, only without his war trauma and frustrations but with a hell of a lot more hypocrisy. Obama on the other hand is a coward, he promised change but offered more of the same both in internal and foreign affairs, him too, being a pawn of Wall Street.
I feel sorry for the condition in which the US is now, somewhere between being the personification of universal ideals and a land of prosperity and justice that acts like a beacon for the rest of the world, and a fascistic corporate despotism with half retarded and the other half moderately educated people, feeding their minds and bodies with kitsch and toxins, who act like they've got it all figured out and all others are "third world". Such a long sentence, I know, but I couldn't risk making it short. America should never forget that the immigrant is her blood, the moment she becomes an "old world" state there will be no turning back. What is an old world state you may ask, well, I'll save this for another time.
We don't know exactly who has power in the United States, is it the president? It seems logical to think so, but power isn't only the opportunity to sign laws, propose policies or declare wars... as you know, a machine is beginning to be used at the White House for that (signing laws not declaring wars... yet). Then maybe the president decides the direction the nation will go, in a democracy this should be, in theory, dictated by the Parliament but instead of this we have dozens of official and occult interest groups, research associations, intelligence services and think tanks which all want to impose their vision on what should be done, where, when and how. Economic issues are discussed with those in question, one hundred years ago they would have been the industrialists, now they are the Wall Street barons fighting for a piece of the pie. You can call it lobby for short, I, being an East European, will call it corruption.
We can go on and on and still not resolve anything. The "Occupy" movement, where did it lead? One can argue that even this kind of socio-political events are somehow orchestrated by various groups (also, don't forget the Tea Party). I may be overly pessimistic but America should shake off its totalitarian tendencies and start concentrating on important things like education, health, research and space exploration.
